The Athletic Department of Houghton College has set a goal of making opportunities for every student athlete to participate in some missions outreach at least once during his/her four years at the college. To date, teams have traveled to the Czech Republic, Honduras, Australia, Ireland and Ethiopia. Some funding for this purpose comes from the Houghton Wesleyan Church Missions budget each year. Please pray (1) for wisdom on the part of coaches in planning for missions trips; (2) that participants will use the opportunity for personal spiritual development and will exhibit Christian sensitivity in cross-cultural situations.
