Cory and Kris Thede's
blogsite:

Cory uses agricultural development to help meet
the physical needs of Christians in Haiti and encourage their faith.
Cory plants disease-resistant banana trees, Moringa trees, and
Artemisia trees. Kris, a medical
doctor at the mission hospital on Fauche, traveled to "Port" as part
of a mission team. In December the clinic in Fauche treated 457
people. Their blog relates many events after the earthquake, but "The
most amazing aspect of my stay at the Villa was listening to the
voices of thousands of Haitians united in song, praising the Lord. I
could distinguish four distinct locations where the singing was coming
from with the largest being in the direction of the Seventh Day
Adventist compound were a reported 40,000 people slept and lived
outside." Cory, Kris, and their family are serving in Haiti with your
help.

Caribe
Atlantic Area Director Dan Irvine reports that at least three
Wesleyan churches were completely destroyed and several others were
badly damaged. “Hundreds of members are dead or missing, thousands
have suffered the loss of homes and possessions. Accurate statistics
are not yet available and may never be given the circumstances.”
Pray for The Wesleyan Church of Haiti as it grieves
its losses and, at the same time, reaches out help those in need.
We
praise the Lord that all Global Partners’
missionaries in Haiti are accounted for and are safe. Unfortunately
this has not been the case for other mission organizations and NGO
agencies;
pray for the families and friends who are grieving
the loss of loved ones.
Missionaries Carl and Maya Gilles, along with their two small
daughters, live and minister in Port-au-Prince.
Praise the Lord that they were not hurt. Their house
received damage; however, the integrity of the structure is
uncertain. Since it may have been unsafe to stay in the house, they
were living in a field. This past weekend Maya and the girls were
evacuated out of Haiti and are now with family in Canada.
Pray for Maya and the girls as they regroup.
Pray for Carl as
he remains in Haiti to help with relief efforts.
Pray
for the disaster relief efforts by our missionaries.
Pray for the medical team made up of one Haitian
nurse, a visiting doctor, and five GP missionaries: Dr. Kris Thede,
Physician Assistant Diane Busch, Carl Gilles, Tricia Alexander, and
Joel Currie who arrive in Haiti a few hours prior to the earthquake.
