The Houghton Food Pantry, located on the basement level of the Houghton Wesleyan Church, is one of the few emergency food pantries in the county. We help members of the congregation any time there is a need and people from Northern Allegany County once every two or three months. The pantry is housed in an attractive, well-organized room and food is available any time it is needed by calling the church office (567-2264). Members of the congregation donate non-perishable food items to stock the shelves by bringing items to the church office. The pantry has assisted at least 125 families this year. Pray that this ministry of compassion may prepare hearts for spiritual food.
